Leo Rodriguez, our Co-Founder, has always seen the world through a unique lensâwhere creativity, technology, and purpose intersect. The son of a respected sales director for multinational companies, Leoâs entrepreneurial spark ignited early. At just nine years old, he was selling electric shavers from the porch of his family home. By middle school, he was selling candy to classmates and exploring his growing talents in computers, art, and English.
Golf became part of his life at 15, but so did hard work. After high school, Leo took a year to refine his swing, improve his English, and help in the family restaurantâall while preparing to study architecture. It was during his architecture studies that a classmate introduced him to the world of 3D rendering. Leo was instantly captivated. He poured countless hours into mastering this digital craft, eventually landing a job at his uncleâs architecture firm where he honed both blueprint design and visualization skills.
While working full-time, Leo pursued an associate degree in Digital Animation. When he was unexpectedly laid off, it turned out to be a blessing in disguiseâit gave him the push to finish his studies and launch his own agency in 2016 alongside his fiancÃĐe (now wife), Maria. They called it ZAD 4 GROUP.
With ZAD 4, Leo began serving top construction companies across South America, developing marketing visuals and digital strategies that aligned with each projectâs sales goals. From stunning 3D renderings and 360° virtual tours to real-time interactive walkthroughs and strategic digital marketing, Leo built a comprehensive solution that saved clients time, budget, and coordination headaches. His team pioneered the use of virtual reality in real estate marketingâturning visionary ideas into immersive, cost-effective presentations.
But Leoâs story isnât just about businessâit's about faith.
When Leo was 11 years old, his father had a life-changing encounter with Jesus. It deeply impacted the entire family. Eight years later, at 19, Leo experienced his own personal encounter with Christ. From that moment on, his life and decisions have been guided by faith. His trust in God became the compass for both personal and professional paths, shaping his leadership, ethics, and purpose behind every project.
In 2021, after the pandemic-era travel restrictions lifted, Leo and Maria came to the U.S. once againâoriginally just for vacation. But this time, something felt different. With open hearts and faith in Godâs plan, they unexpectedly found a legal path to stay. Within three years, they became permanent residents of the United States.
In 2022, Leo was hired by Wayfair, a Fortune 500 company, as a 3D Architectural Artist. It was a milestoneâbut in early 2023, a wave of layoffs affected over 1,700 employees, including Leo. What couldâve been a setback became the launchpad for something greater.
Thatâs when Konstrumedia was born.
